Since the beginning of the day on December 27, 100 combat clashes have occurred on the front, which is significantly fewer than in previous days. However, the situation remains complex and tense, according to the Ukrainian General Staff’s Facebook page.
Today, in the Kharkiv direction, Russian invaders launched two assaults on the defense lines of the Ukrainian forces near Vovchansk, with fighting ongoing. Enemy aviation struck Veterynare and Kozacha Lopan with unguided aerial rockets.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy, with the support of attack aviation, actively attacked Ukrainian positions twice in the Lozova area. Ukrainian soldiers are steadfastly holding the defense, and the clashes continue.
Today, in the Lyman direction, the invading army carried out 17 attacks on Ukrainian positions near Pervomaiske, Novoiehorivka, Nadiya, Terny, Torske, Zarichne, Dibrova, and in the Serebryanske forestry. Five clashes are ongoing.
In the Siversk direction, the Russian troops attempted to advance twice on Ukrainian positions near Bilohorivka and toward Vyimka but were repelled.
In the Kramatorsk direction, Ukrainian forces repelled two assault actions near Chasiv Yar.
In the Toretsk direction, the Russian forces attempted to push Ukrainian units from their positions near Shcherbynivka and Toretsk, where the Defense Forces repelled four attacks. One battle is still ongoing.
Since the beginning of the day, in the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy has already made 34 attempts to push Ukrainian defenders from their positions in the areas of Myrolyubivka, Promin, Vozdvizhenka, Lysivka, Dachenske, Novoielyzavetivka, Novovasylivka, and Vovkove. The Defense Forces are holding back the enemy’s pressure, having repelled 25 attacks so far. Enemy losses are being clarified.
Fighting continues near Petropavlivka, Sloviansk, Dachne, and Kurakhove in the Kurakhove direction. According to updated information, nine attacks by the occupying army have been repelled today, with three attacks still ongoing.
In the Vremivka direction, four clashes are ongoing, with the enemy launching seven attacks today near Kostyantynopil, Rozlyv, Novyi Komar, and Novodarivka. Additionally, the enemy carried out airstrikes using guided aerial bombs on Kostyantynopol, Oleksiivka, and Zelenopillia.
In the Kursk region, Ukrainian defenders repelled 11 offensive actions by the invaders, and six clashes are ongoing. Russian aviation also carried out five strikes, using nine guided aerial bombs on their own territory.
Russian losses in Ukraine
According to the General Staff, since the beginning of the full-scale war against Ukraine, Russia has lost over 782,000 military personnel.
In particular, over the past 24 hours, Russia’s losses amounted to 1,650 soldiers. Ukrainian forces also destroyed 14 tanks, 18 armored combat vehicles, 22 artillery systems, one air defense system, 28 operational-tactical UAVs, 82 vehicles, and one piece of enemy special equipment.
